Neon is a Bluetooth location device designed for modern indoor places such as art galleries, museums and libraries. It brings a more harmonious visual experience to modern indoor places, where artwork tags, smart bracelets, cell phones and other devices can be accessed and positioned. The AOA direction finding function with the 5.1 protocol makes the positioning accuracy less than 0.5m and provides a more compatible IoT information management solution. The purpose of the design is to convey our concern and reflection on the development of the modern design. Although similar IoT devices have become ubiquitous, their design style tends to make concessions to interior spatial planning, so their forms of presence are often plain, understated or invisible. A vividly functional product will more intuitively help explore the potential of the device's symbiosis with space. In addition to this, Neon's simple and clean form makes it easier to disassemble and access, with a less negative impact on the environment, than previous models of positioning base stations. This represents a strong focus on the visual experience of such products and future-proof design consciousness. The design is inspired by the colorful neon lights in modern cities, and the transparent plastic inner and outer surfaces are applied with different gradient painting processes. Combining precise color matching, color distribution and gradual coating transparency, the whole presents a layered color gradient effect. With this innovative process, the transparent plastic material and linear design language derive a unique visual effect. The internal structure lines of the product will gradually become clearer as the transparency increases, and the strip of lights form a harmonious proportion with the product outline, presenting a richer visual variation for users. Compared with the plain style data box, the decorative aesthetics of Neon gives it a better chance to be mutually inclusive, permeable and symbiotic with the spatial environment.
