Our fascination with weaving began with a field trip to the southwest of Guizhou. During this field trip we happened to learn about the Buyi people and were struck by the hand-woven cloth they made, the cotton thread used in hand-woven cloth can reach hundreds of meters long. A curiosity impulse prompted us to slowly learn about the Buyi people and prepare for the opportunity to interpret it by means of design. For this project, design is used only as a means and a medium. What is more worthy of attention is the existence of the human being behind the project, a state that transcends the identity of the designer and returns to the root, to the instinct: the innate linking emotion of man to the land, the true desire of man's heart. Design systems and comprehensive design concepts should be established as a priority in design. Design is to solve the problem, and to solve the problem, we must first understand the problem. Understanding more, in order to better solve the problem. So this is a comprehensive design concept, including our responsibility to society.
