Looking to the craft of fashion and textiles for inspiration, the brand identity uses the concept of intertwined lines representing twisted strands to create a thread, communicating the idea of SFT’s interdisciplinary and collaborative nature. The structure formed by the strands create a thread that moves upwards—becoming a timeline from ITC to SFT and beyond, bringing fashion and textiles into the future. A cross-section of this thread becomes the symbol for SFT and the core element of which the brand identity is built on. The SFT symbol is devised into a mannequin like element, adorned with a myriad of different textiles and materials that reflect the diversity of fashion and the multiple disciplines, paths and possibilities that SFT has to offer.
